Rusty is looking for his forever home!! Rusty comes to us from the great folks at the Calaveras Humane Society. Rusty is about 1 year old and per his Wisdom Panel DNA test he is a American Staffordshire Terrier/Australian Shepherd cross. Rusty has been neutered, is current on all of his vaccinations and is on heartworm prevention. Rusty is a very happy go lucky kind of guy who just loves everyone that he meets. He is very playful but affectionate at the same time. Rusty has mastered all of his basic obedience and he gets along with other dogs. Rusty has had two different kennel mates and he has done well but he can be dominant when he is playing. If the other dog tells him to back off he will. Rusty has shared his kennel with male and female dogs. One of our volunteers took Rusty home for an overnight stay to see how he would do in a home setting. She reported that Rusty was perfect! He appears to be housebroken, he did not try to get on any furniture, and he did not beg from the table when they had dinner and breakfast. He slept the entire night on a dog bed on the floor next to the her bed. She stated that he did whine just a bit when she left to go to the store but settled down after a few minutes. Overall, she said he was a very good boy. Please give Marge` a call or send an email if you would like to come out to the ranch to meet this very special boy. 209-223-3194 or margaret@twincedark9.com

KITTENS!!! Meet the "rainbow litter" they are now ready for the forever home. Come to to Feed Barn to adopt them!
Meet Pretty Poppy! She is a 2 year old gray tabby. She is spayed and vaccinated. Stop by and meet this sweet, gorgeous, girl at The Feed Barn, today! She is waiting for her furever home!
Twin Cedar K9 proudly presents...The man "Fonzie Fonzarelli". When Fonzie came to us for a temperament test his hair coat was so greasy and with the cocky attitude that he had, his name was instantly changed from Edward to the Fonz! Fonzie was very fearful of people and was very reactive when he was approached or if anyone tried to pick him up. Fonzie is about 8 months old and is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix.
Since our evening pack walks have helped so many shy and fearful dogs get better, poor little Fonzie went on his first pack walk (on lead of course) that very first day! The poor little guy was a bit overwhelmed at first but once he met Yujo ( Second Chance Graduate #200) he found somebody that he could buddy up with. It was very cute watching the two dogs trotting down the path side by side. Yujo weighs about 70 pounds and Fonzie is about 12 pounds! Fonzie has gone on every pack walk since then and boy has he blossomed! He is now going on the walks off lead and has made no effort to run away. He comes every time he is called and he has even played in the water. He and Yujo are quite the pair and it is pure entertainment for all of us humans to watch them play together. In one week Fonzie has gone from a very fearful little dog who didn't want to be handled by anyone to a very affectionate boy who loves everyone he meets!! Fonzie is a little dog with a big dog attitude!! Please give Marge` a call or drop her an email if you would like to come out to the ranch to meet this very special little boy. 209-223-3194 or maargaret@twincedark9.com Well, well, well. Look who we have here! It's Munchkin! This chill guy is just hangin' out, napping, while waiting for his furever home! He's been waiting way too long, and is available for adoption at The Feed Barn! Stop by and meet this soft, mellow, lovebug, of a cat, today! He is a character!
The only thing these cats had in common was that they were Unneutered male adult cats allowed to roam. Ace, a beautiful black, long haired cat was suffering from an upper respiratory infection, infected eyes, ear mites, fleas, ticks and the battle scars that testified to his rough life. The second cat was a big orange beauty, hit by a car. We were initially hopeful because he had a simple jaw fracture that could heal well with surgery. Sadly, he had serious head trauma which took his life. We appreciate the kind people who brought these cats to us and urge everyone to neuter their male cats to prevent them from roaming and fighting. Sweet Ace goes to his ranch home this weekend!
Davey is looking for his forever home! He is currently in the Twin Cedar K9 Second Chance Program. Davey hails from the great people at the Calaveras Humane Society. Davey is just under 2 years of age and looks like he could be a Pointer cross. We have done a DNA test on him but do not have the results back yet. We will update you as soon as we truly know what he is. What we do know is… he is a wonderful, comical, friendly, energetic and fun loving kind of guy!! He seems to get along with everyone he meets, people and dogs alike! We have not tested him with cats but he has not reacted too much when our resident “Cadog”, that would be Gabby our Savannah cat that thinks she is a dog, has crossed his path! Davey is coming along nicely with all of his obedience and he has been introduced to all of the basics. He went on his first pack walk this week but we have not taken him off lead yet. He had a blast playing in the water and running with the pack while he was on a long line. We will be taking him off lead in the next few days! Davey is sharing one of our 100’ X 100’ runs with our Amador girl Fawn and they get along famously! They take turns chasing each other around the kennel and then they rest side by side sharing chew toys or bones. After a short rest, they are right back at a good game of chase! Please give us a call or send an email if you would like to come out to Twin Cedar Ranch to meet this really cool dog! Marge` Blair 209-223-3194 or margaret@twincedark9.com |
