This was a very good day!
All gone-bye bye. I have never seen a finch fly out of a basket as fast as this purple finch. I told her the direction to Pine Grove and she is probably half there by now and going in a very straight line. No evidence of head trauma anymore. The towhee was flying in the basket before I got the cover off just itching to leave. No problem flying with not quite a whole tail. Got great lift up to and through the oak trees. I am amazed at how fast the tail has grown just since Sunday. Incredible!
