“FLAMINGLE” IS FLYING TO NEXT YEAR!
Unfortunately, Paws and Claws “Flamingle” is being postponed until 2021. We will miss seeing you all at this fun event but this gives us more time to practice wiggling our tail feathers and thinking PINK! We have hopes that Bruce is still going to produce his hysterical, irreverent, awesome videos to celebrate wildlife and wildlife care so stay tuned!
Tri County Wildlife Care had a very special DRIVE BY from the Mother Lode Cruisers! Bret Risius and Mike Heidecker wheeled in with an extraordinary $2500 donation to help the critters in need! Even though the club was not able to hold their 2020 Classic Car Show, the MLCs didn’t let it stop their generosity and TCWC is honored.
Despite the pandemic, wild animals are still becoming ill, injured and orphaned. On their way to health and freedom again, our bird patients consume 100,000 mealworms and our mammal patients drink 22 pounds of formula... each week. Thank you MLC for being our partner supporting this feeding frenzy! We feel privileged to live here in the Sierra foothills surrounded by wildlife and people who do so much for our community of animals. Honk your horns for The Mother Lode Cruisers!
Why is it important to live "wildlife friendly?" The answer: you'll never know what species may save your life. Click the image to learn more.
We hope you are safe and adjusting to the constant drumbeat between “fear” and “hope”. Well here is a breath of fresh sound from our volunteer Miss Tasha B. She featured TCWC and our “Little Big Shots”, the hummingbird and the chipmunk, in her latest Story Time with Miss Tasha.
Before “stay-at-home”, she was “out-and-about” at local schools, preschools, libraries and other kids’ groups reading, educating, and being wonderfully, magically silly. Now she is reading and being videoed for the Ledger Dispatch Facebook site and is now on You Tube. The kids in your life will be glued to watching our Miss Tasha..and so will you! https://youtu.be/XKhyMNvt5OQ
SMALL DONATIONS HELP US SAVE MANY LITTLE LIVES! For just $2.50 we can feed a songbird seed, mealworms, greens, fruit and eggs for a week. For $3.50 we can feed a bird of prey for a week. We are hard at work from our homes and our nursery will open soon. Please help us to saves lives if you can. Thank you for all of your support and love

Living or dead, trees provide nest sites for so many species of wildlife. Trimming your trees at the wrong time can destroy a wildlife nest and injure or orphan baby wildlife.
