Shelter Open House, July 12, 2014

Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center held an Open House Saturday, JULY 12, 10AM-4PM to launch our special “$9 for 9 Lives” promotion for cats, a special half-price promotion for dogs: only $42, plus a $10 license fee. We also honored our outgoing Director, John Vail, and thanked him for his decade of service here in Amador County.
Picture
John Vail has been with Amador County Animal Control 2005, and in 'the business' for more than three decades. We honor his service, and celebrate his contributions in helping us to Save Them All!
Picture
Lots of folks attended the event. Here a mix of volunteers and visitors hang out with one of the shelter's 'hopeful adoptees' who is out for a walk and a bit of socialization.
Picture
Two of our key contributors, Lisa (in the hat) and Susan, checking out the raffle prizes. Raffle proceeds were donations to the Rusty Fund, a private fund to assist with special needs for domestic animals in the community.
Picture
We had a very diverse assortment of prizes for the Rusty Fund raffle, ranging from art to specialty pet products, toys, and food.
Thank you to all who attended this event, and a special thanks to those who adopted cats and dogs or donated to the raffle.
