With the help of our amazing fosters we are able to adopt over 300 kittens each year. This program would not be possible without the help of our many volunteers.

Spay / Neuter Programs
NO EXCUSES! Did you know an average female cat can have over 100 kittens in her lifetime? A-PAL has many Spay/Neuter programs to help residents of Amador County. |
Adopt-a-Friend
Partnering with the Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center has allowed A-PAL to help many dogs and cats find their forever homes.

John Liedl, Santa Fund Program
Renamed after the passing of John Liedel, our very own Santa. The John Liedl Santa Fund has helper many special needs critters get the care they needed to live a healthy happy life and for many allowed them to find their forever homes. |
Community Cats Program
This program helps the feral community cats can be fixed and released rather than euthanized. It has provided a second chance for hundreds of cats to be released back colonies, adopted into barn homes, and some to be placed inside homes as they weren't really feral. |
Twin Cedar K9 "Second Chance" Program
As of 2021, 403 dogs have completed the second chance program. Once they are in the program they are evaluated, trained, socialized and adopted to forever homes. |
Rusty's Fund
Rusty's Fund for Shelter Animals provides financial support exclusively to animals at Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center. |
