Current minimal training requirements:

Members are required to pass a background check and apply for a DSW (Disaster Service Worker) certification through Amador County.
Each trained member will wear a white shirt (t-shirt or polo shirt) with ACART logo and ball cap with logo. They will carry a photo ID.
Members will be required to own appropriate boots, gloves, headlamp and/or flashlight, etc.
Members will be expected to own a "Go Bag" equipped with personal items to support the volunteer for several days away from home.
A shelter plan has been devised. Animals will be sheltered at the Amador County Fairgrounds or Howard Park. Other suitable places will be arranged as necessary.
Members are encouraged to consider ham radio licensing to increase our communication abilities.
