Volunteering

Add your skills to ours! As a TCWC volunteer, there are several ways you can help.  Your time is what we need most, as well as any special skills you may have.
  • We need people to assist with the feeding and care of the animals; just four hours a week.  We provide all training.
  • You may become a wildlife rehabilitator at your home.  We need many home care rehabilitators, especially in the spring. We need people who can raise baby animals for us.  The length of commitment for rehabilitation is normally two to seven weeks at a time.  Training is provided at no cost to you.  We require that you keep children and other pets separate from the rehabilitating animals.
  • You could make yourself available for on call emergencies and become a Transporter.  This involves picking up animals and transferring them where needed or to the release site.  Being able to rescue animals and then release them back to their natural environment is a rewarding experience.  Training and equipment are provided.
  • You may also assist with new cage construction or maintenance.  We always have an extreme need for this skill.
Other Functions
Skills, knowledge and enthusiasm for fundraising, education, grant writing, graphic design, general office support and public speaking can also be used to help us build a great team for the animals!
