This is West! You may recall seeing him up for adoption not too long ago! You may also recall that West was one of the rescues from the local hoarding situation! Well! Here he is in his new furever home, lovin' life, safe and sound. This is what his new family had to share... " I had no idea that West was a hoarded cat. That maybe explains why he had no interest in the cat toys I bought him. He was a little shy at first, didn't want to come out from under the bed. So I spent time under the bed with him! He is now a happy guy, who loves to meow when he wants to be pet, and will sleep on your face if you let him. He still doesn't play with his toys but he likes to play with the curtains. He is a happy addition to the family."

This beautiful duck just came in off Hwy 88. It has a head tick, but otherwise alert and healthy so we are hopeful Carol can work her magic! READ MORE These beautiful cats and many more like them, rescued from a hoarding situation, NEED YOUR HELP! Together, we can save them all!
Update on the Hoarding Cats! So far, unfortunately one didn't survive, 1 has been adopted into a pet home, 3 have been placed in Barn Homes, and 2 are currently being evaluated for placement. The trapping continues and we couldn't do it with out you! Please continue to support and share with friends and family. Fawn comes to us from the very kink people at the Amador County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Fawn is a young adult (Vet is guessing she is about 1 year old) German Shepherd mix. Per her DNA test results, she also has English Setter, American Bulldog and Rottweiler mixed in! Fawn is a very pretty girl who got a little carried away with the eye liner!! She is a very friendly girl with all the people she has met. She has beautiful focus on her trainers when she is practicing her obedience lessons and loves to come out and train. Fawn has shared her kennel with other dogs and she has done well but she can be very bossy with her roommates! She loves to play with other dogs but when she first meets a new dog she is very pushy with them. She has never started a fight with any other dogs and when they tell her to back off, she does. Fawns favorite game is chase!! She also has very strong toy drive and has tested very well for search and rescue type work. Fawn will chase cats but it is unknown if she would harm one if she managed to catch one! It probably would be best if she went to a home without cats! Fawn would love to go to a family that would spend time training her and most of all...play with her! She can turn just about anything into a toy to play with! A fenced yard is a must if you would like to adopt Miss Fawn! |
