A HAPPY NEW BEGINNING...Carol received a call from Arnold Vet about a Canada Goose all wrapped up in fishing line and missing a leg. Donna brought the goose to TCWC and prosthetist Mike Link of Hangar Orthopedic in Reno who works on people during the days and critters in the evenings made "Arnie" a prosthetic leg that fits perfectly. We are working on the permits to keep this bird as an education and surrogate parent bird. Why bother with a Canada Goose you might ask??? Lots of reasons, but probably most of all to try in a small way to make up for the human impact on our local wildlife. Hi! This is so wonderful! Greetings from Finland. We have a goose here in Finland with the exact same injury for the exact same reason and we would love to be able to help him!
