BEEP BEEP! NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES. SOME DRIVE CLASSIC CARS. Tri County Wildlife Care is honored to add the MotherLode Cruisers to the Hall of Heroes at our new Paws Partners Center. There, extraordinary people who support local wildlife in need are recognized with their own dedicated animal-shaped plaque. In this case, of course, the animal of choice could only be a Roadrunner! The MLC ‘wild at heart’ car club gifted TCWC with an amazing $5,500 donation from the proceeds of their 2021 Classic Car Show. We are overwhelmed by their generosity and impressed by how many people attend to check out the cars and how much fun the event is! Over 600 animals have already been in TCWC’s care this year, many of them baby squirrels, foxes and other mammals that drink lots of formula. TCWC has also had 3 eagle patients, one that has needed intensive veterinary care for his wounds. Thank you MLC for helping us help these animals! Bret Risius and Connie Gonsalves, plus their teams, clearly work hard to hold a successful classic car event to benefit our small community. TCWC is privileged to be a recipient of their success and we salute this group of dedicated car enthusiasts! Help us Help them!
